Hi everyone, I'm having issues with programming w25q64bv with EZP2010. It goes through the process of programming but when verifying I get an error and when I dump the chip after programming, all I get is zeros. Do I need another programmer for this chip? Thanks in advance. |

I haven't problem with this programmer with any ic's. Firmly clean contacts, replace usb cable. Update software. Are you sure what ic is good? |

Hi, thanks for reply, I've programmed three of those without any success. Two from ProBook 8440p and one from Dell E6410. The laptops were working but had admin password issues. the full SPI number is W25Q64BVSSIG. I read from the data sheet that some portion of the eeprom is One Time Programmable. I don't know if that is the reason why it's not able to reprogram. Any ideas? |

You must look every contact on the programmer board. I had a bad cotact on the board from the usb connector, one pin was not connected to the board. |

Inserted a chip , save what was in it, perform erasing, and then fill the firmware. on the other it does not turn on this unit |

Yes I have tried countless windbond SPIs and they all give errors on verifying content especially those that end with SIG. There are some of the chips that after programming, read all 00s. I am beginning to think that maybe the programmer is to blame because chips that end with SIQ program correctly. Any ideas? |

w25q4bv it is a 8mb bios chip and your dump file must be 8mb file |

The issue is that the programmer is able to detect the SPI chip, but after programming, verification brings up an error,and when I dump the content of the just programmed chip, it is all corrupted...  . So I am at a loss as to whether the chip is damaged or not because it was booting the laptop prior to programming.
