Hello everyone,

This crazy board came with a shorted LDO's and very low resistances on PL8100 & PL8101...

found a dead PWM pu8100 "RT8239B", dead pu8300 "RT8202MZ" & PQ8300, and also dead IT8517E-HXS & W25Q64FV

all chips was replaced with exact models, all resistances became normal, when connecting LBP both LDO's went up, there is 3.3v on EC and flash and power button but there is no led lights or reaction to the button at all, consumption on the LBP is 0A

tried flashing the bios, tried replacing RT8239B with uP1589Q, tried replacing all PQ8100, PQ8101, PQ8102, PQ8103, PQ9101 & PQ9102... behavior not changed..

suddenly noticed that without soldering the flash almost all powers rises before pressing the button "except memory voltage" !

LDO's all up and PL8100=3.3v, PL8101=5v, CPU power PL8200=0.9v, memory voltage PL8301=0v.... LBP consumption became 60mA

noticed the lacking of 3VSUS_ON & 5VSUS_ON signals to enable ENTRIP if the flash was soldered "indicates a wrong dump"..

without the flash there is ENTRIP signals and pu8100, pu8200 is working normally..

tried multiple flash chips with multiple dumps, tried replacing IT8517E-HXS with IT8518E-HXS... but the behavior is the same

where to dig ?

as far as I remember, this model has onboard memory.
if the pu8300 RT8202M burned, then the memory is probably defective.
if we consider that the memory communicates directly with the processor,
then it is possible that the processor could also be damaged.

if the board has on-board memory, then it must be turned off with strips. there was information on the Internet how to do this.
unless of course there is a memory slot. or change memory chips.

Yes there is on-board memory and a slot, didn't try to disable by straps but opening PJP8302 doesn't change the behavior..

as far as i know, there should be 5v ALWP on PL8101 when the power is connected, 3v on PL8100 rises after pressing the power button..

noticed a movement on PL8101 when the power is connected as it tries to rise, both 3.3v and 5v and CPUVTT rises normally with autostart if the flash was unsoldered..

because the board first tries to communicate with the soldered memory. you need to turn it off with straps.

Should it work by the straps only, or both bios mod & straps ?

Resistance of the memory at PL8301 is around 230 ohms, I'll give it a try..

Disabling internal memory doesn't change anything, I believe the spike killed the hub too so it was given without repair..
