Hi A customer has brought an Asus X552C (x550CL Main Board Rev : 2.0) notebook which didn't have display on LCD but when connected to external monitor everything was fine, so I thought maybe the problem was with the GPU (N14M-GL-S-A2) cause after lifting the GPU completely from board the problem remained the same, I ordered a new GPU but unfortunately after soldering it the problem is the same. I can boot into windows on external monitor and on device manager there is only Intel HD Graphics 4000 and no sign of NVidia. Unfortunately could not find schematics and before ordering the chip I reballed it's own chip and also reflashed the bios but nothing changed. by the way Nvidia chip doesn't heat up even without heat sink installed. This is my first post so sorry if it's too long. |

Hi ! First you should try to check motherboard with new lcd cable. Sometimes this problem is of hybrid hm76. |

Thanks for the reply, will try to test with a new LCD flat cable first. Regarding HM76 (NB is slj8e - HM76) do you think a reball is required or should I change the chip. Just to be clear with external monitor booted into windows, in device manager there isn't any sign of nVidia.
