Hi. there is a Dell N5110( Platform discrete 10260-1). When U install CPU and plug AC jack Switches on for 2-3 then Off , this cycle happens in accidental times.
If u uninstall CPU it switches on stay on for ever!
What u think?

First of all try enother known good CPU and memory, second flash last bios version
enother thing may couse the reason is short circuit
check all resistance in offpower mode on all drossels

I checked. Write Correct Bios. this board switch on by Arrandale CPUs and stays ON, (no display), but by Sandybridge CPUs ON..2sec..OFF... 5 sec .. ON..... this cycle continues.

1-change your cpu with same as cpu
!!! sandbridge cpu not equal by non sandbridge cpu

2-are you hear any beep ?

Now I use sandy-bridge but no beep. power on for a second and off then on after 5 second and ......

i have one yesterday that like your laptop (on,......off)reball s-bridge and rework i/o and ok..
