hmm and think you its pointless to swap the two 8ZA77 with older 8SA77? is there any chance to bring this card back to life witt 2 older 8SA77 so that all modules the same one?

hello there, i have here a RTX2070 with Micron "D9WCW"memory on it, production code is 8SA77 two of them have made errors so i have change him with D9WCW also, but with production code 8ZA77 now the card runs very instable, after driver is loaded, gpu was resetet by driver many times in desktop, also getting blackscreens for seconds (gpu reset). but why? is the first row of micron code on the memory not only the date-code? *edit* no errors in MATS test |

main name - D9WCW 8SA77 is the date code. |

Вот за эту инфу огромная благодарность :) So - theoretical in my case, it should work... But it dosnt :-/ or Not? Should i swap the New 8za77 with 8sa77 also? But the overall 8sa77 memory is faulty (or high risk to fault) Can i swap the whole memory to Samsung HC14 gddr6? But i must than change any resistor matrix on the PCB.. But where? It is a kfa2 rtx 2070 with TU106A on it - reference PCB. |

8sa77 - take off 8za77 - place on pcb yes, you can swap to Samsung HC14 gddr6 and you must change straps. give photo your kfa2 rtx 2070, both side and we try found strap. |

As I wrote above, change all memory to 8Z 8S under load produces: artifacts, driver ejection, black screen, freezes. samsung hc-14, when replacing, you need to move the strap, post a photo, we will show which one |

Wow, unbelievable. Thank you very much :) How do you get those types of infos? One other question: what will be happen when i replace those two 8ZA77 Chips with Samsung memory? Can a Mix configuration with micron and Samsung be working? |

hello again...i have become for free two working D9WCW with date code 8SA77 chips also, so i have replaced for testing the two newer 8ZA77 chips now to 8SA77. But now i have som weired errors - stripes on the screen :-/ the error count is always an other number. I have replaced the C0 chip with another chip - but error still always on C0. sometimes when testing the bank C0 would have no errors, but then A0 or B0 (always x0) I have also reflowed all Memor chips, and GPU - but error still present.     is this error picture an indicator of a death GPU? or realy memory chips? |

I think the reason is memory banks. it's all micron ... I would replace all the memory banks before reballing the GPU. |
