hello there, is it possible to use the one unused memory solder pad on a RTX2080TI when another memory bank is physical damaged? (tracers ripped off)?
on Founders/reference PCB, its always the Pad chanel A0 which is unused.
i have seen a RTX2080ti where it was C0 which have no memory, but for that on A0 was also an memory chip soldered.
like this one:

So - how does the card address the right memory channel/bank? also with resistors similar with the one on the back for Micron/samsung memory?

No. In this case, it is impossible to use channel A0. It is disabled in the GPU itself. Where you find C0 - look at the GPU markings and compare with where there is no A0.
For example, if the marking ... KA-A1 then the memory bank A0 is disconnected. If the marking ... KС-A1 the channel C0 is disconnected accordingly.

ok, thanks.
there a only TU102-300(A)-K1-A1 and TU102-300(A)-K5-A1 known. Only these 2 GPUs (as 300A and only 300 without A) was seen on RTX 2080TI

another question:
where is the resistor strap on RTX2080TI where i can switch from micron to samsung memory when i will replace all chips?
i know only pictures from RTX2070 and 2080 - but not for the TI.
