I have a model of video card Zogis ZO98GT-1GD3H that the cooler was locked. What could I do to try to recover the card, since the chipset gets hot. what is in the photo is an attempt to replace the cooler but does not help much. |

I dont have permission to download your photos but I can offer you several ways to cool more. First as I googled it I see the cooler is aluminum, you can put a copper plate between chip and cooler so you can protect the chip from instant heats. Second way... Graphic cards has smaller fans but many of these makes too much noise, easier way is changing it to big one like case fans, if you decide to change; are operating 12+ V DC you can connect to graphic cards out(+5 V) or supply it from computers power supply. In my case I experienced 9800 gts are powerful cards and +12 V should be good for the performance. Third way is buying a noisy fan from the internet. |
