HELLO RTX mod Does anyone know if I can change the memories in an RTX 2070 the memories K4Z80325BC-HC14 for K4Z80325BC-HC16. would it have a good performance increase, or will it cause problems? has anyone tried it? |

there won't be any problems overclock up to max 15.500 |

It would work. Hc16 got the higher speed and same timings. |

thank you guys. I will try it soon. then I left the results here. that of 15500mhz it will automatically set that speed or do i have to do mod bios to adjust speed? |

Hc14 got the 1750mhz memory speed Hc16 is sertified for 2000mhz There is no need in any actions, the vbios speed is also 1750 got this card. |

Yeah, both HC14 and HC16 are compatible between each other, they share the same die revision, you can also solder HC18 IC if you can found some at a resonnable price, even HC12 could works but only a few card are running GDDR6 at only 12Gbps and 1.35v. Furthermore by "upgrading" the memory from HC14 to HC16/18 you will be able to overclock the memory higher. Finally there is no issue mixing HC12/14/16/18 IC on the same card as long as it's stock memory bandwidth is equal to the lowest IC which is 12Gbps (in case of a mix with at least one HC12). |
