Hi all,

You helped me in the previous topics so I hope this time you can help me too.

I have problem with Gigabyte GTX 960. Тhe card has power for gpu , power for memory and other ones (3,3 , 5). I checked shorts but not present.
When I received card I replace two 0ohm resistors to bios chips. They were broken.

Now when I try to turn on PC I can see 2b code on the POST card and it freeze. The power is still present.

I think that it have to be something with bioses, however I reflashed them and it didn't help.
What could broke those 0ohm resistors? What should I check?

Last question, which component is responsible for switching bioses?

Voltages looks good around bioses (1,3,6,7,8 = 3.2V). I noticed there is 3,2V instead of 3,3V but I think that it doesn't matter.

I have ran this card on my second PC where I have graphics on my motherboard. What is more the "Device Manager" see this card. Unfortunately, there is an error 43 .
Sprawdziłem także tę kartę za pomocą GPU-Z i jest wersja BIOS-u - niezdefiniowana i pamięć wynosi 0 GB. Załączam ekran drukowania GPU-z.

I tired to use nvflash to update bios but I have errors.

This card has dual bios. I have CH341A programmer. I have downloaded bios from this site: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/178 ... 096-150701 and write it to both chips.
I havent got oryginal bios unfortunately. Is this procedure ok or I have to do something else?
Maybe have you got another bioses for 4GB card?

Hi again,

I don't know how but I made a mistake. There are missing 3,3V on the 6th leg of bios chip. It is SCLK (serial clock input).
I have tried to add 3.3v from external source and the PC starts but without screen.

Can it be a GPU faulty?

Update: I took off GPU, and the power is back. However I'm still not sure is it GPU faulty. Is someone can confirm?
