Hi everyone in the forum! I'm a new member to this forum and need help as where to dig ? I'm repairing 2 Toshiba laps with power on cycling symptoms and no display. Bios is phoenix. Post card reading jumps directly from 00 to 86 and back cycle. Current reading rises to 1.1V and down to 0V in a cycle of 6 times then lap shuts down. Thanks |

Hi everyone! P.S read in my previous post : Current ....1.1A and down to 0A It seems that no one encountered the same problem !!! I'm still waiting for your comment. Thank you for any advice. as where to dig ??? |

have your boards is video chips? possible, problem in video. but befor you can firmware bios flash. 2d-replace bridge. |

I reflowed it once with no result, I'll try a 2nd reflow and revert. Unfortunately, I can't flash bios, as lap is rebooting, and I'm not equipped with a bios programmer. |

you need to buy programmer. have cheap programmer: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... &_from=R40 and buy bridge for replace. and what you have of equipment for soldering and testing? |

Besides multi-meter Excel DT9205A, I have Metrix mts 3352 100MHZ-Oscilloscope, Smart tweezers for auto-measurement of L-C-R, Atlas ESR meter... a soldering station and a BGA infra-red station newly acquired. |

I think that the problem in the bridge. you try replace bridge? (no reball.) |
