Hi , a glass of water was spilled on the laptop. I cleaned the motherboard with isopropyl alcohol. Now when I press the power button, the lights on the fan is running, there is no display, then everything stops after 10 second. If I press the power button no response I have to unplug and replug the power adapter. Can you tell me what i have to check ? Best regards. You need to check all Power Supplies (to measure their outs "in voltages") and check all oscillations at all oscillators, replace the CPU and RAM for working parts and reflash the bios (bioses) with programmer (make the backups of original ones first!)... |

yes you are right sorry I made a mistake it is SVE1711FEW When I connect the plug I hear a little noise as "tic" , but i can't locate . Is it a short circuit ? |

I have no oscilloscope (I'm beginner). It's very difficult for me - I am using the translator for the answering. Try to found the knowledge at your language by internet... The repairs laptops is not for amateur, it is professional activity. You will need to purchase the oscilloscope, programmer, infrared soldering station, etc... Otherwise you will not be able to repair laptops! Sorry and good luck!

I'm using translator too i'm french . I have programmer , jovy RE7500 , hot air station , no oscilloscope... I wan't to learn , but in France there is not much information . thank you to try to help me. Best regards |

Try this steps: - remove all spares from board - take tank, glass cleaner liquid, toothbrush - put the board into tank and fill the liquid - more liquid - clean board with toothbrush, add more liqiud, clean board with toothbrush. 2-3 steps. - dry the board on jovy RE7500 - lower heater only. Board temp approx 110-120 grad. |
