OK acer aspire v5-572g has a shorted onboard RAM i have removed pq9 chip and injected 3v 0.5A inside of the board, RAM (onboard) started to warm up. i have injected 5v 1.75A inside and they got even warmer. when the charger is attached i only get 2V inside. could the ram be shorted? can i somehow fix this? can the ram be disabled? http://elektrotanya.com/acer_aspire_v5_ ... nload.html ofc, you will have my thanks and a little donation ;) Greetings from ur serbian brother |

>as i understand, p mosfet will work if the current on the gate is lower then the one on the source? ...voltage on the gate is lower... , but I think there is very low resistance on VIN line (after PQ9) - need to check >> (checked, it is little more then 200ohm resistance to ground) >i did not go above 5v so i do not burn something in the board. RAM 1.5VSUS, if PQ45 shorted (check it), your 5V go to 1.5V. There are also lots of capacitors 2.5V (see the scheme)... Don`t do that ) >> thanks for the tip :) Remove Pl13 and measure resistance in both points ( i have did that already and had over 0.45kOhm on one side, and on other side pc156 pc165 i had only 94 Ohm to ground... so now, should i remove every single capacitor next to ram and check them ? or is the ram chips shorted? thanks for the advice ps. i think pq45 is shorted. im going to remove it to test,... |
