Hello, I started soldering iron on JCD 8898 (V2.4), but after 10 seconds of heating it just clicked and stopped working. When I turn it on the display does not light up. The hot air gun is working fine. Could you tell me what could be the problem here and if it is in the diodes (as suggested in several places in the internet), what are the values for M7 (D1) and S7 (D7 and D8)? I guess a schematic would also be helpful. Thank you in advance! |

i had JCD908S explode while just sitting here plugged in. M7 replace with any suitable (i put cylindrical one that i had around). it also took one inductor, tantalum cap and ft8430 IC - changed them all and it is working fine for months now |
