Hi everyone, this is my first post and I hope I'm not making a mistake. I'm struggling with a repair of an acer predator g9-593. It doesn't turn on. On the RAM coil I have 1 ohm and it doesn't seem normal to me. Could someone tell me how much more or less it should be? Thank you. Posted after 2 hours 47 minutes 40 seconds: Someone know olso what is the resistence between VDD e VSS in DDR5 modul? |

There is no smell of the ddr5 module in this laptop, if measurements are interesting, I can do them in the evening, but 1 ohm is not enough, without memory too? Maybe they just inserted a faulty bar |

I put them all back and measuring them between Vdd and Vss four measured 60 Ohms and two 1.2 Ohms. However, if I measure the voltage drop towards GND after the Vdd coil of the RAM now I have 5.3 Ohm. I think there is a short in the GPU memory controller. Basically GPU to replace. What do you think about it? |

If you removed the modules, what is the resistance on the board? The resistance may vary depending on the memory modules, but less than 28 ohm I have not seen what memory you have installed? And this is only on the memory power supply. If the video chip power supply, 1070 normal resistance is 0.4 ohm. P.s. After the DRAM coil that I removed (all 6) the Vdd (+VBFDDQ) towards GND (Vss) is now 5.2 ohm. In a boardview of a similar G9-591G mainboard I saw that this Vdd also goes to the GPU and therefore I think this is shorted. Sorry but i don't know how to add a pictures. Thanks for the reply. |
