Hi every one I have ASUS K45VD LA-8224p rev1.0 This laptop have charging issue The laptop show me " plugged in charging " but not charge and the amount of present not go up only on 31% The battery with ac adapter is discharging fine but not charge This work I tried 1-change adapter with new one 2-change battery whit new one 3-bios update 4-the SMCA,SMDA is ok(3.3v) but a pin on battery connector named TS A ( I don't know this signal)have 0.26 v but when I disconnect the battery give 3.3 v fine 5-resolder SIO 6-the charger ic have (LODRV , REGN) high (3.3v) 7-i use method that uninstall the battery driver on OS and the restart ……. But not help Please help me in advance please |

Check with oscilloscope data exchange between battery and multicontroller. Then if impulse is present check where lost your charging dc voltage. 2-3 times this malfunction is from malfunction capacitor in circuit output mosfet wich charging battery and few times malfunction is multicontroller. |

thanks for your fast reply i have oscilloscope 50MHZ but what do you mean from multi controller ?? and what is the signal name you told me to check ? can you help me from shematic ? this is shematic Posted after 3 hours 39 minutes 35 seconds: hi i check the bq24725 again cefully i mistake that voltage in older post this new test are (REGN=6) is ok now but the HIDRV=0 is that good or missing voltage ?? |

i think battery not orginal but i test this battery with another laptop and working fine a thing when i plug battery and then connect 19.5v DC from source DC supply i see the laptop for 3 second use about 5.3A current like laptop board shorted .... and then current go fine about 0.78 ' i think this may help you to help me solve this problem thanks |
