Hi, I'm working this Asus X555LD Rev 3.3 motherboard that has no image.

I have programmed the bios chip with external programmer, an also ec-bios inside ITE IT8585.

Postcard shows 63 for a moment and then 62, and stuck there. (if I press the power button 4 seconds, it goes to stand by)

It has ddr3 ram memory soldered, but whit a good ddr3L in the socket is the same.

Anyone in the forum have had a similar problem?

I wonder whats the meaning of 63 or 62 in postcard display, and can't find information about it.

BIOS correct sewn up? It is listed on the sticker on the memory slot. Looks something like " PN: 60NB0G0-MB1001 (332) X555LB"

This motherboard has no label with part number, it has other labels but not this one. (motherboard has been repaired by someone else)

I have tried this special dump from this link, and postcard shows 15 and then 55. (it says AMI EFI/X555LDF1.312/Disable_Memory)

I think it is normal if bios does not find a valid ddr memory, but without postcard and a good ddr in the slot, seems to hung. (there are a few burst of pulses in bios, and gets stuck)

Bios in the link seems to be modded for working without ddr module in slot.

Can someone confirm that?

Could be anything, but this BIOS somewhere I have already used, it work

This Board can be BIOS as X555LD and X555LJ and X555LB, those are the ones I met

The bios reference it has, was a X555LJ one, so i thought it was incorrect, and put a X555LD, but nothing change.

I think the problem is a soldered ram chip with random issues. (now it fails all the time with code 55H)

I will tray to disabled on board ram and test it with only ddr3 plugged-in the empty socket. (if I can find how to do this)

Any help disabling on board ram will be great.

I have made the modifications in order to disable the on board ram, but have no boot. (since I can't test post number, (have no other socket free to insert post card) I can't tell if it get stuck on 55H, but it is most likely)

PCBID1, PCBID2, PCBID3 and PCBID4 are now with the oposite level than before. (by moving the appropriate resistors)

DRAMRST# is always at low level, so i think that cpu is not working properly.

Do you think it is time to buy a new motherboard?

The DRAMRST # signal will rise to a high level after the memory is found in the additional connector. Found this means that the SPD is read on the memory module.

You started the repair from the wrong end, you still need to first determine the correct version of the firmware, and only then if it is necessary to disable the built-in memory on your Board, you can do it yourself, without moving the resistors, and correcting the Bios using the AMIBCP program, the program and examples of its use can be found on this site.

Yes, you are wright, it use to do so at first, when post did get to 62H. Now it changes its behavior, so I think that cpu or memory, or whatever was wrong, has died definitively. (that's the reason for me to disable on board ram.

DRAMRST # signal means that any of the ram chips nor cpu could bring it to gnd. (diode mode readings for that signal are correct, so no short is in there)



I really don't know the right version of bios, because the one in the mobo is not the original, (someone else has reprogrammed it) and there is not the label with the part number of the motherboard.
