Hi everyone, the above mentioned laptop took a heavy fall from one floor up and the screen got damaged, but surprisingly the HDD survived. Anyway, the laptop works on Intel graphics but on ATI graphics the laptop goes blue screen. Upon de-soldering the GPU I realized a lot of broken pads [about 12 of them] that connected to memory chips U21 and U23. I think I can fix them but my problem is that one pad is torn on the GPU. So I want to know if someone has any experience with this GPU [216-0810005] and whether that pad has a connection or whether I should discard it. Thanks in advance. |

you should replace videochip. and yes, restore all broken pads too. |
