The laptop arrived with an unsoldered ITE IT8502E. To whom it may help I have 2 questions: - is this IT8502E the right controller, I googled it and it seems it may be IT8518E ? - where can I get a dump of the correct BIOS? I replaced the controller twice. First, replaced with a IT8502E, then measured voltages on the BIOS chip, got no more than 0.7V. Second I replaced it with IT8518E, the led near the power button lits when I put the power cord on, but I got no image on the screen; then when I press the power buton the power led switched off. If I press the power button again, nothing happens unless I cut the power (19v) , wait for a few seconds and put the power cord back on. Then, everything repeats... I also replaced the processor and SODIMM memory. Please advise, thank you! |

The right controller for this model is ITE8518 did you connect speakers ? |
