Hi everybody. There is this notebook shutting down abnormally and randomly. After powering up, a couple of seconds later it shuts down. I suspected it was overheating but after cleaning the fan, it was still happening. So i decided to desolder EMC1422 (thermal shutdown IC) and everything is okay. tried with another IC and also changed CPU temperature sensor with no luck. without 1422 IC system is working OK but fan is constantly on. Any help will be appreciated. |

Soldering back 1422 IC , flash a new BIOS and check with another cpu... |

At last it turned out to be a GPU related problem. After reballing GPU everything is working flawlessly. somehow it had lowered fan speed and after that fan speed went to normal. as GPU was getting hot it was shutting down. Now it's OK. |
