Hi is it possible to read the windows 8 key from a dumped bios .bin file. This laptop had a black screen issue so I backed up bios file first then reflashed bios and it works fine but I need to recover the key from within the .bin file. Any help appreciated. |

I can extract the key from the bios no problem. Im trying to find how to extract the key from a dumped .bin file not the actual bios. |

The area with the key in the old file, copy and paste to the same addresses as a new file. Any HEX editor. |

Thank you for the reply but I don't know where the key is located. I have looked through the .bin file and cannot locate the key. I read somewhere that the key is encrypted but Im not sure. |

Thanks for the link but even after reading this thread I still cannot find the key in the bios dump. i will keep trying |

Can use this soft for search windows KEY in dump files. after first use can click to any folder with right button and find windows keys in all files in directory. |
