It is very easy to understand where the short circuit is. Just check MOSFET D-G, D-S terminals. Than desolder 3 legs with desoldering pump and check other Mosfet and 2 diods + bridge. And no schematic needed for this. This PSU not for beginners.

True is hard. I found already one all 0 i have another one but i can't get out. It is no space te remove the screw. I have 2 Ipa50r140cp mosfet complete short on all 3 pins. Any easy to find mosfet to replace them?

resistors, capacitors, npn pnp transistors, PMW APFC controller, electrilitic capacitors around controller, Stand by power supply. Check big capacitor find datasheet of PMW APFC controller, check Vcc, may be other pins too acording datasheet. Seems You have LLC resonant half-bridge topology, try to find in google pdf "LCC ATX PSU", seems onsemi had pdf with circuit. https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/TND359-D.PDF

The supply is few moths old max 1 year. The Gpu made short and in 1 month psu died

1 month after GPU collision PSU die? right? there are no interconnection. In transistor rectifying disain commonly break secondary transistors, but You have short in primary. so You must check all small SMD elements in primary

No short on gate (on pcb) of those 2 faulty mosfet after removing them from pcb. I don't have this types of mosfet. I will search for similar but i do not know if it is a good idea to replace them with other types.

If i replace diode and power up the psu with no mosfets do i risk to damage anything? Maybe i can measure some signals with oscilloscope on the gate pin? Or the controller will not send them because at startup it not sensing any feedback? The mosfet gates are powered by some small transformer with 2 secondary coils for 2 mosfet. The primary coil come from controller board.

in few days i will get those 2 dead mosfets and diode (dead=all 3 pins in short) any advice what to check before power up the psu? 1 standby voltage after cable connection and no booooom ? 2? driver for this mosfets is strange controller board has main chip and some 8pin operational amplifier on it and from this boards is going by a transformer to mosfet gates Something like this: Вложение: 20200618_094936.jpg I checked all small value resistors no fault found I checked all diodea and transistors no fault found No capacitor în short on controller board Also in primary side of psu i checked all diodes and resistors and transistors

Ok I put a 100w bulb instead of a fuse for testing. I replaced the bad mosfets ipa50r140 and diode. I have the 5v standby now. Any test I can do before I try to enable it? Or any info I could give you guys to help me? Yes it is n channel mosfet and it is good I tested it. Optocouplers also checked and ok. No short found anywhere at the moment I measured with oscilloscope on gate of those 2 mosfets Both transistors gets impulses for a split of second when the coil noise is present. Any suggestions? Thanks

1)After you ground PS_ON measure the voltage at the input capacitors. So we find out whether the PFC section works or not. If it works, then the voltage will be 360-390V. Be careful 2) Check output for short! List there resistence 12, 5, 3.3, -12 to ground.

It adds 70ohms in ac I measured in standby 330v (with air heater as fuse) With Ps_on at ground 330-360V but it varies much maybe because the source try to start every 0.3seconds I edited last post both mosfets get impulses. 3.3V 13kohms+ 5v 8k+ 12v 7k+ -12v 9k+

350v stable for few seconds and like 3x more faster coil noises. Then I think something is overheating and voltage pass to 390v and like 1 noise at 2 seconds. After 3 - 4mins of cooling same 350v and fast noises. But with 1500w the voltage seams stable

So pfc seams OK? I get like 5v on 12v rail when is doing this noise. Like - 5v on - 12v rail but 5v and 3.3v rest to 0V But it is strange I can't see impulses on mosfet gates on secondary side for 12v . There are 4 mosfets to build 12v rail.

And dead end both mosfets died again and I never keep them up more than 3 - 4 seconds on 750w air heater Now I will wait 2 months the new ones from Ali and new controller.
