I would like to be sure that is why I have to ask you about posionion of memory in the Evga 970.


The mats shows that the B High (FIB0B 63:32) and D Low (FIB0D 31:0) channels has errors.

I'm not sure how I should identify them.

My first option is:
X1 = A High
X2 = A Low
X3 = B High
X4 = B Low
...

Second option is:
X3 = A High
X4 = A Low
...
X1 = D Low
X2 = D High

Maybe completely wrong?
On the X1 bank I can see M1 mark and on the X3 I can see M8 mark.

X1 - A1 (32-63)
X2 - A0 (0-31)
....
X7 - D1 (32-63)
X8 - D0 (0-31)

X3 = B1
X4 = B0
X7 = D1
X8 = D0
Can you probably apply the full mats report file?

That means X3 and X8 are broken.
I switched it 4 times and the results are the same. But I haven't got new chips yet and I have to tested used ones.

I was very surprised when the card runs without X3 and X8 chip. Unfortunately it display artifacts but it works.
I feel that GPU is broken (memory controller) or it is badly placed on the PCB, because after I remove X1 chip card shows that there is no errors in this area. Moreover, i placex X1 chip to X3 and there are still errors.
