Hi, I have a ASUS GTX 1060 with burnt 12V current steering and damaged PCB that prevents the repair of the current steering but, now that the damaged components and the PCB short circuit have been removed, the graphic card actually boots up and seems to work.
The current steering shorts the 12Vpcie to the 12Vpex6pins at power up, what is it good for? (for stability? they are already shorted in the PSU)
What should I do with it?
1) Should I use the graphic card simply without the current steering and the 12Vpcie not shorted to the 12Vpex6pins on the card ?
2) Should I make a fixed short circuit between 12Vpcie and 12Vpex6pins on the card?
3) Should I try to fix the 12V current steering soldering the missing components (1 mos, 1 cap, 2 resistors) with wires? (it will be a not nice and probably unstable solution)
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
