Hello again, i got 2 more gtx 970 with the same pcbs and i measured every capacitor that was off and soldered it, and still i have no picture and on gpu is only 110mV, strange thing because on second gtx 970 is the same thing, on gpu only 120mV, what could be wrong with that cards? Tomorrow i will add all other voltages and resistances. |

Hello again guys i have 3x gtx 970 cards with the same issue, on palit reference cooling if one of 6 pin is only connected (no matter which) it boots and show warning to connect pcie connector, after plug in gpu is not recognized and power to mem and gpu is not present. Could it be ina3221 or what? On other 2 cards the same problem: Palit jetstream - it shows screen only when i plug left pcie connector, if i will plug only right plug it is not recognized. On gainward phantom is the same but opposite direction. Ok, changed on one card one of mosfets to sid780 and one of fuse and card turned on, but i got a lot of artifacts and in mats only one ram have no errors, changed bios - no difference, voltage on memory is 1.4v - isn't is too low? |

Hello again, first card i have still artifacts and all memory errors in mats, on second after replace mosfets card working fine and third card have broken traces under mosfet and shorted gpu so it's dead.. what could be with that card with artifacts? |

I have a FBVDDQ of 1.61V at my GTX 970 JetStream. Try to check the 12V source feeding the 2 memory channels, as well as their phase signals with an oscilloscope. The signal must look stable, whithout "jumps" in the timings. What is the resistance between the FBVDDQ and GND? I have 25 Ohm with Samsung memory and even though it looks quite low, it works OK. Is any of the RAM modules heating up more than others? Does the color of the compound at the GPU crystal look even or are there darker areas? This card has a known issue of building up a short circuit between the vias of the feedback traces under the chokes, check if this is the case for your "dead" card. Your current sensing shunt SRS1 at the first photo doesn't look good. Check it by replacing (e.g. use your dead board as a donor). |
