I have 3 xfx rx 470 8gb cards which have major artefacting. If you install driver in windows you get back screen or computer freeze. I tried tserver but it returns with gfx pipe busy. Sometimes tserver will freeze too! I tried dmgg.py but it report all channels and 4 memory defective. Is this memory controller? Gpu? All memory dead? |

i will try to take out first memory bank as someone suggested and see if it works... |

what do these artifacts look like? Most likely it is a gpu chip. |

Here are some pictures i took. I wasn’t able to make pictures until now… It can reach windows and it has error 43 Can’t see image if i try tserver. I cannot even understand what is written. If i boot as secondary card, i get gfx pipe busy.. |

That is usualy D channel. Try to reflow or reball D0 and D1 memory and see what is happening. Or try to change D0 and D1. |

I know this is an old thread but it worth mentioning: If you use amd diagnostic tool and run rx470/480 command it will not give you correct informations … Instead you can use rx570/580 command and it will always give you the correct faulty bank… Good luck! |
