Привет,

У меня есть MSI 980Ti GAMING X, и я пересадил ядро ​​Titan X и несколько модулей 8-битной видеопамяти объемом 1 ГБ. Hello,

I have a MSI 980Ti GAMING X and I have transplanted the Titan X core and some 1GB 8bit VRAM modules. However, even though the card is functioning, it can still only detect 6GB of VRAM although it has 12GB. How will I modify the strap resistors so that the card can properly detect 12GB of VRAM?

who is the memory manufacturer? give full memory marking.
what is the value of the R51 resistor now? (located near the video outputs, under U6, BIOS)
give a photo of your card on both sides.

The memory seems to be "SAMSUNG 552 K4680325F8-HC28"

There does not seem to be anything occupying the position of R51

what memory was there?

you need to set the resistor R51 to 20k

Yes, there are 1GB modules as opposed to the 512MB stock memory. I forgot which one it was since I no longer have then original VRAM, but VBIOS tells me that it could have been Samsung, Elpida, or Hynix.

Oh, I should mention that I bought this card online, why is why I have no idea what kind of vram was on it. However, it seems to me that MSI used HYNIX memory across the 980Ti Gaming X

you unsolder the resistor and solder another one of 20k ohms.
I believe the original memory was Samsung because it's currently working with Samsung memory, since Hynix and Elpida have very different timings that would prevent the card to run at it's stock memory frequency

The BIOS says that it supports all three types of memoryИзображение
That's the original BIOS which says that they support all three kinds of memories. I have ordered the 20K resistors. Should I also modify the BIOS once I change the resistors?
