Good Day.. I have got a laptop, HP ENVY 13, intel i5 8250U. the laptop has a weired problem. 19v sense resister present. futher on some 19v rails it 12.5volt and at some places it 19v. 5v, 3.3v, 1.05v pch present. it goes on at pwrbtn press but goes off again. it goes on and off again and again and at some point it stays on. at this point all voltages are present. but if i switch it off then again same story. 19v rail gives 12.5 volt at cpu mosfets, when battery connected then it goes to 17.5v.. i dont know it this is normal. sence resister has steady 19.5v. it behaves like only battery gives 16 volts to cpu 19v rails. and only charger gives 12.5 v..so maybe it thinks that charger is battery and battery is charger.. or is it just normal behaviour.. it just turns on and off in second.. no shorts since it does goes on by itself after 10 or 20 minuts if i leave the charger plugged in..when it stays on the cpu cores are active. cpu gets hot like normal. touchpad, keyboard every single output has its voktages and usbC also charges my phone then. Sorry if the problem is not described correctly. but it is how it is. cheers |
