Hello everyone,

Got this laptop with power and charging problems, got fixed and it started working perfectly except that lcd display has two vertical lines.

The laptop was given to the owner..

A week later it came back with a new problem, laptop powers on and gives 8 beeps - so the lcd screen was gone, i've tried cleaning lvds cable pins from both sides and both screen/motherboard connectors, the screen turned on again for a couple of times then off again with 8 beeps code..

Screen was replaced with a new one, it still beeping 8 times, lvds cable replaced... Still the same !
Tried tons of new screens from Samsung/LG... Nothing !

Some of the tested screens that didn't work:
LTN156AT02
LTN156AT05
LTN156AT10
LTN156AT24
LP156WH4

Original screen is LP156WH2(TL-AA)

Found a 100% working used LP156WH2(TL-E1), but it didn't work !

Grabbed another laptop from a different customer and found an identical LP156WH2(TL-AA) screen, tried it and it works

Are those dells compatible with a specific screen or something is wrong with it ?

Bios update ?

GPU or VRAM malfunction.
AMD 216-0774007?

Surprisingly, I hadn't noticed that the graphics driver isn't there, installed drivers and BOOM...a BSOD !

the customer didn't mention any problems with his graphics

reflowing the chip didn't help so i've remade it to UMA, tested with a couple of screens and all of them worked perfectly..
