Hello all
i got a dell laptop with board number la-9832p_Rev1.0 for repair . when I connect the AC adapter it gives me an AC adapter unknown error on the bios menu. when I opened it PU1 was burned which I changed with a new one but I got still the same error. pr8, pr9 have correct ohms but I changed them with new ones. I changed pq2 too but I got the same error again. pl3 is checked and is correct too
any idea where could be the problem and I should check where?

NB_PSID ( PS_ID ) to multicontroller. (1-wire signal from AC adapter dell).

Might have to change the multicontroller. PS_ID what resistance .
check, replace PQ2, PQ3.

I changed PQ2 , PQ3 but still got an adapter unknown error. I even shorted pin 3-4 of pu1 and d-s pq2 but nothing happened

any idea ?

Is the power supply original?
post measurements PQ2, PQ3, PD5, PU1, check resistors, check +5V_ALW, +3.3V_ALW,
ECE5048-LZY flashable multicontroller. possibly an error. but it has a locked BOOT area in which battery data is stored. it's not that easy .

Are you sure you've soldered PU1 correctly (I mean not upside down). What is the voltage on pin 3 and pin 4 of PU1 (and resistance to ground in NB_PSID and PS_ID lines in turned off state)? You can try to unsolder PU1 and then short pin 3 to pin 4 to see if it's working this way. Did you check PD5 (if it's present on the board)?
