Hello, second time I get a Toshiba L50-B with the R391 burnt, I've tried switching the KBC but I don't know the value of the resistor.

Motherboard: DABLIDMB8E0 REV:E
KBC: Nuvoton NPCE985LA0DX
GPU: 216-0858020


The problem is the same as in this post: http://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3089829.html - But the problem is that I cant understand the translation and also I don't have any diagram to find out what resistor I need to place there.

Could someone please help?

At Polish forum this problem was solved as follows: the KBC has been replaced and burned resistor has been replaced to zero ohm resistor.

Do you think SMD 1206 4.7Ohm 250mW will do? It was the lowest I found.

Was looking on scrap motherboards but could not find anything lower.

I think it will be ok.

This is kept without solution. Can't find where is the short-circuit. Have another equal computer working and found that the resistor is really 0ohm. Any ideas? I already pluged a power suply to find our where the problem is, but no success.

Found out what is heating up... Its the CPU at 0.9V with 4.5A.

Now what? Any recomendations?

Its an i5-4200U.

In the working Motherboard, there is no consumption on the R391.
