Hi,
I have a MSI laptop GP60. (motherboard MS-16GH1 ver. 1.0)

3.3 and 5 volts are missing, and only there are pulses in ec-bios. (U9)

Pin 1 of ec-bios seems to have a repetitive pattern of pulses, that changes when I push power button.

As I mentioned, pulses changes but only for 3 or 4 seconds, then return to initial state.

3.3 rail, has a resistance of 2500 ohms, so there is no short, but if I inject voltage with a bench power supply, the PCH chip gets hot, with only 1,1 volts on 3,3v rail.

It seems to me that pch (u17) is damaged, but.....

Any suggestions?

Anybody has schematic for this motherboard or boardview? (or any schematic which helps)

PD: ec-bios has been programmed.

Hi i also cant find schematic. Can you measure EN1 and EN2 signals in 3.3/5V converter? What is power consumption on laboratory power supply. Propably you are right about PCH. ON photo i see coil and 2 mosfets neer by PCH measure resistance coil to GND.

Do you know how to do the short-test which laboratory power supply?
If you can, you can remove coil in 3.3v and put voltage 3.3v, 500mA from laboratory power supply to coil pad if power compsumtion will be 500mA check PCH is he hot, if not pull up current 100mA untill you feel temperature on PCH. Then remove PCH and do another shortcut test.
