Hello from Scotland!
Firstly. I'm sorry that I'm posting in English - your forum is the only place I've found via Google which has references to component level fault finding on laptop motherboards.
I also realise that I might not be 100% following the rules in asking this question - but I've attempted to use translation tools to read and understand the notes on new topics. I have searched for threads on the same topic and found one -
viewtopic.php?f=40&t=17359 - except I'm not sure what a 'DAMP' bios means, and many other words aren't translating properly...
My issue is I have replaced a broken DC jack socket successfully on my UX31a however at the same time the laptop has stopped booting. I have tested the connectivity of the socket and 19V is showing up on the motherboard.
I can measure 1.8 Volts on the positive connector to the battery, so in my understanding the laptop is in a low power mode. When I press the power button nothing happens.
I would be able to flash the BIOS if people think that could be an issue. The laptop was left on after the DC socket was broken, so that the computer shutdown after the battery's charge was exhausted.
Can anyone offer some troubleshooting advice?
