Got this machine from a client, he tried to update the bios via windows from A08 to A09. After the machine restarted, the screen went blank and the power button can't switch it on. Only connecting the DC charger then pressing the right arrow key can. I tried to recover its bios using the VAUB0A09.ROM and VAUB0A09.HDR files, it did display the dell logo and does perform the boot flash process successfully but when it restarts again no display. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

Yes i did, but it did not work.

Try this.

The client had sent the machine to us warranty but the quoted repair cost was too expensive. So when I get it back, I will try and let you know how it goes.

I did try; With your dump it still doesn't power up via the power button but whenever i do the bios recovery with the A08 file it displays the dell logo the proceeds to do the bios flash process. After finishing it turns off and cannot turn on again. Anyone know how i can flash the EC?
