Because encryption/security, I guess you need to do hard reset if you have nothing to loose.

If no other way, try factory reset like this:
When off, press volume up + home + power key.
You will go to recovery mode.
With volume down, you go to factory reset and power button select.
Then down to delete user data. (volume down + power to select)
Then when menu appears, go to reboot.
You should be free of PIN now.
