Hi to all,

I've got for repair an RTX 2060 Super TURBO 8GB. Is my first time when I deal with this kind of problem.
It passes MATS without any errors. All banks OK. I suspect that is related to the GPU chipset.
I just want to make sure is the chipset since I don't have a BGA rework station (I guess it will be my first investment).

After a closer inspection found that I'm missing two caps on the die. Does anyone know what value they are?
I can take one out and measure it but I just want to do as less work on the die as I can since I don't want to damage it.
The pads are not shorted ... all of them had around 0.15 ohm.

It passes MATS test. I can use it as primary card. I've got image in MODS/MATS. If I enter to BIOS or in Windows it displays like that. Found those missing capacitors when inspecting under the microscope. The Chipset was covered in way too much thermal paste and those 2 caps were missing. Will try to put new ones and see if is working. I don't know what value they are.

what memory is on the card ? mats tests memory at 300 MHz and not at maximum

Thank you for your reply. Micron MT61K256M32JE-14 BGA Code: D9WCW. After multiple attempts found that on bank is faulty. I will replace it. I didn't know that MATS is running at 300 MHz.

Is it any way to test the memory with MATS at a higher frequency?
If I run mats ./mats -e 100 I get sometimes errors on FBIOB1. (that's strange... Only sometimes). If I run ./mats -c 1 which takes about 20-30 min. I got errors on all banks FBIOA0-FBIOD1.
