Hi..

this board came with symptoms that it turns on with no init, the fan goes to full speed, the screen flickers and the board keeps cycling like there is a reset, nothing on the caps-lock..

I made a USB bios recovery and the board started with it and screen shows "Flashing Boot Block" then a restart with no display and no init like it was before, USB bios recovery didn't work again..

after flashing it (rarely) gives caps-lock code 5 long 3 short

disassembled and checked, found some rotten SPI resistors in the exact same location mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=135346&p=1018810&hilit=%2Ala+g07%2A#p1018810



and rotten divider resistors at PU301:


all replaced but still nothing, checked SPI signals and found that sometimes there's attempts to read and sometimes it's silent, in some attempts (in 1 of 100) it reads and board initialized..

replaced and flashed KB9022 ec chip, bios flashed with official bios, still nothing...

checked the whole board and found low resistance on 3V PL302 = 18 ohms !

injecting the line reveals a heating network controller UL1, removed and the resistance became 30 ohms, still low

removed all peripherals and the resistance still 30 ohms with 200mA consumption, nothing is heating on the board except a barely heating cpu

definitely a dead pch..

Before sending him to the grave the question is could a dead Ryzen pch still able to post and init or I miss-diagnosed it ??

have you tried to remove Pu301? it can be damaged

yes of course I did that and the line resistance still 30 ohms

Check a switch u17. if its okay try to remove Ryzen

checked and still nothing, I can't remove/replace the cpu I don't have the tools for it..

it is the only thing that heats up on the board and consumes 200mA but the funny part is that it reads the bios and give init sometimes !

I also noticed that the resistance is not fixed, it varies between 16~41 ohms each time the board switched on/off
