I have a simple question. The motherboard is LA-9104P. Came to me already messed up bu someone else. There is КЗ (Short circuit - 0.4 Ohms) on the output side of coil Pl500 (VCCP ->+1.05VS) Since the CPU is the only thing that is powered by that power rail, can I be 99% sure that the CPU is fried? I tried to inject voltage on that point (coil removed, board disconnected from ЛБП), but nothing on the board gets heated up.

Thank you for your response. Will try it now and share the results later. Edit (I can only send one reply per hour): VCC_CORE (measured at PL701 with coil attached is 6 Ohm). I removed the TPS, found PQ203 and PQ205 КЗ, removed them, now on the same point of VCCP/VDD I have even less (0.3 Ohms). Can it be some capacitor shorted? I'll attach picture now. Afterwards I will remove ISL.

Yeah, that was what was I referring to when I said injecting voltage. I already did that on that line, but nothing heated up. Although, I was doing that with the processor attached, as it is soldered and I don't have infra-red station to be sure that I can re solder the CPU back with 100% precision. I can re solder smaller chips by hand (even PCH), but not something with > 1000 balls. At this point repairing this board became economically unfeasible, as I found UI circuits (the ones with 8 pins around USB - AP2301MPG) shorted also (removed them) - but the КЗ is still there. I will try few other things and report back, but it looks as this board is going to end up into the donor pile This is link with a similar problem viewtopic.php?f=41&t=30371Thank you for your help, it was helpful, I learned a lot from it. Will report if I find something later today.
